Some of the cast and crew behind Newquay Dramatic Society’s “Yes Prime Minister were snapped at the Green Parrot Wetherspoons in Perranporth, nr. Truro this week.
The fantastic comedy opens Tuesday 27th May and will be the first half of Newquay Dramatic Society’s summer season of comedy. The play will be staged every Tuesday and Wednesday for 10 weeks curtain up at 8pm.
“Yes Prime Minister” is based on the hit TV series “Yes Minister” and is the sequel. It follows Jim Hacker who is now Prime Minister over a weekend at Chequer’s – his private retreat.
The picture shows the Cast of the play with the Director also the society’s President, John Jay and our new Marketing Advisor, Andrew Jay.
The play has only just been released for amateur’s to perform and director Sheila Lines is thrilled that Newquay Dramatic Society’s production will be the first that has been performed by any dramatic society in Cornwall if not the whole country.
The play is based on the old familiar characters of the first TV series including some new ones especially created for the second series. Its recent tour of the Country was heralded as one of the major highlights of 2013 and Sheila is thrilled to be able to bring this play to Lane Theatre in Newquay for our audiences to enjoy. As with the TV series the writers have again captured this hilariously funny situation comedy to a tee.
Newquay Dramatic Society is thrilled to have such a wealth of talent amongst the cast and we are sure that this play will be one of our must see productions.
