dsc_3591Santa’s and Elves are coming to town… are you?

Christmas is as much about the build-up as the big day itself and with lots of excited energy to work off what better event to take part in than a festive Santa Run? In fact you don’t have to run because there’s also surfing Santa’s, cycling Santa’s, walking Santa’s and even elves and reindeers.

The Newquay leg of the Santa’s Fun run series is on Sunday 4th December at 11am – Fistral Beach.

The countdown has begun to Cornwall Hospice Care’s 2016 Santa Series and you’re invited to take part at an event near you. This year the Cornish charity that cares for patients with life limiting illnesses and their families, is holding events in Bodmin, Wadebridge, Padstow, Newquay, Truro, Falmouth, Helston and Marazion.

Dr Debbie from the charity, says it’s good to have fun;

“Our aim is to help our patients feel better for as long as possible so they can enjoy time with their family and friends, so this is a golden opportunity for you to have a jolly time in the run up to Christmas. The money you raise will be used to help pay for the medicines and support our patients need. So thank you for helping us at this special time of year.”

All you need to do is sign up online and you’ll receive a festive Santa suit or for Padstow and Falmouth the Elf costume may be more to your liking! Mums, Dads, children, Grannies and Grandpas, you can all run, jog or walk the routes and your reward will be a sparkly Christmas medal and a delicious mince pie. There’s even prizes for the best festively dressed dogs!santa-2016-logo
