TRAVEL TO NEWQUAY BY TRAIN

You can find out about trains from Par to Newquay which gives details of the Atlantic Coast line service. National Rail Enquiries offer to help plan your journey between postcodes and to make life a little easier they also give you:

Par is one of the stops made by through-trains on the Paddington to Penzance mainline running from London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and many other towns and cities, seven days a week, all year round.

Passengers travelling on these services but bound for Newquay need to alight at Par and complete their journey on the branch line. The trains on this final leg terminate at Newquay Train Station in the heart of the town some 50 minutes later, where you will be ready to start your well deserved holiday.

From the end of May to the end of September, Newquay also has direct trains from London, Bristol, Birmingham, Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland and there’s a daily London service to Newquay during July and August.

Make a saving, too. Great value fares are available for those who book in advance – the earlier you purchase your tickets, the greater the saving.

The convenience of taking the train to Newquay doesn’t stop there. This form of transport is an exciting way to explore Cornwall. Take days away from Newquay beaches to delve into the depths of the countryside to see views you can’t see from the car. St Ives, Penzance, Looe and Plymouth are all good day trip destinations from Newquay.

To get you in the mood for the leisurely ride on the Atlantic Coast Line click Par to Newquay and enjoy the super-fast journey on this branch line, passing through tree-lined fields, the historic sites of Castle an Dinas and Roche Rock, the stunning Luxulyan Valley and the National Nature Reserve of Goss Moor before arriving in Newquay, Cornwall’s favourite holiday resort.
