Awarded the Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor and rated five stars by its visitors take a stroll through the Cold War Hardened Aircraft Shelter, sitting in the Hawker Harrier jet along with several other classics. Chat to the experienced team – ex pilots, navigators and engineers, who will only be too happy to tell you about the history and previous roles of our wonderful fleet of cold war aircraft.

Outside the hangar you can jump aboard and experience other iconic jets from yesteryear. Take the guided VC10 and Vickers Varsity tours. Enjoy the open grounds next to RAF St Mawgan and Newquay Airport and watch the aircraft arrivals and departures. We also have our 1950s American style café and outside area for enjoying your own picnic – and a well stocked gift shop with souvenirs for all ages.

Visit our retro 50’s style café; you can peruse the aisles of gifts, models and clothing next door, or relax with free Wi-Fi . Here you’ll find a comprehensive range of drinks including fair trade coffees along with our award-winning pasty and other hot snacks and tasty cakes. Enjoy the aviation views from our café windows and take yourself back in time. Or take lunch outside and watch your little one’s buzz around in the outdoor play area situated next to the café.

The shop offers a wide variety of airplane gifts for all ages. For younger children airplane clothing, aircraft-themed toddler trikes and more. For older children, we have the iconic red arrow and RAF flying suits, pilot hats, airplane assembly kits, air fix models that inspire a lifelong love of aviation. You will find a selection of themed books, various clothing with our aviation logo which has proved to be popular.  A wide selection of gifts and edible products are on offer.
