Grab your toy frogs and green garments as Raymond Froggatt & The Frog Band arrive back at Lane Theatre in full voice this September!
Froggie, as he is known to his many fans, was born in Birmingham in 1941. He spent his teens singing in local pubs and clubs. During this time he spent hours writing songs and poetry. Before long Froggie put together a band of talented musicians called The Monopoly. He was signed up by some of the top recording companies of the time – Polydor, Bell. His writing talents were also being recognised and he was signed by major publishing houses. This was a great achievement for Froggie and his songs were being recorded by established stars both in this country and abroad – Cliff Richard and The Dave Clark Five among them.
His concerts are sold out across the country and abroad, and Froggie followers arrive at the shows clutching their toy frogs and waving green scarves – certainly a sight to behold.
Froggie writes and sings his own songs, mesmerising his audience, making them laugh with one of his many stories or cry with emotion with a song that touches the heart. An evening with Raymond Froggatt is pure magic, an evening not to be missed.
Froggie and his band are supported this evening by Eagle Country – a local duo who have recently been awarded the Top South West Country Act and who have had to pleasure of working with Froggie several times before.
This is sure to be a great musical evening you will not want to miss and his show from last year was a very popular outing for him.
