It is that time of year again when the streets of Newquay are lit up by the fabulous lanterns that have been made by local school children and organisations and if last year is anything to go by, we’re in for a treat!
The parade begins from Cliff Road heading down towards Fore Street at 6:30pm, where they stop at 7pm at the bottom of Marcus Hill for the light switch on. Carols will be sung and the Christmas tree will be blessed to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
Then down at the Newquay Harbour from 8pm the sky will be lit up with a spectactular fireworks display to end the days festive celebrations.
Also tonight for one night only many of the shops across the town will be open until 8:30pm – a perfect chance to stock up on stocking fillers whilst surrounded by festive cheer!
