Newquay’s carnival has been an annual parade through the centre of Newquay for decades.
The highlight of Newquay’s Carnival Week will be the Lions Carnival procession which will finish the festival with a flourish.
The walking carnival procession will start from the Barrowfields, at 6pm, and then parade through the town to Sainsbury’s on The Whim. Everyone is invited to come along and join in with the festivities on Saturday, July 9.
As well as the parade itself, the usual suspects – the mascots of many local establishments such as Daisy the cow and Henry the Hippo, will be appearing in the now annual mascot race from 5.30pm with the Newquay Carnival procession beginning at 6pm.
