Keep Britain Tidy in conjunction with Cornwall Council, South West Water, The Environment Agency and Visit Cornwall are looking for beach clean volunteers for their monthly Fistral beach clean.

Fistral Beach Clean will take place on each month meeting at Bodhi’s Cafe, South Fistral at 10am to start at 10:15am.

The aims of the beach clean are as follows:

• Promote community involvement in cleaning up and managing litter on their local beach.
• To increase local awareness of the local beach litter issues and give the community a voice min decisions about how beach litter is managed and reduced.
• Collect valuable data on what is being found so we can campaign on the issue.
• Engage with the contributors of the litter and find ways of solving problem.
• Reduce the amount of litter.

Beach cleaning kit will be handed out to willing volunteers. Children and dogs very welcome.
