Newquay hosts this year's British National Surf Championships at Fistral Beach from Novemeber 1-3.
Three days of electrifying and fierce competitive surfing mixed in with a selection of activities and a healthy dose of social events will take place before the 2013 British Champions are crowned.
To adapt to the growth of Surfing in the UK and the success of last year's event, the decision was made by organisers at Surfing GB and The UK Pro Surf Tour to extend the competition to three days with the continued and passionate support of Surfing in the UK by POSCA Pens and other sponsors.
The event again holds special significance for UK surfers as it's the final and deciding stop of the 2013 UK Pro Surf Tour. Meaning that tour champions will be decided and 2 Star UK Pro Tour points will be up for grabs for the Open and Women’s competitors, with the men looking at a £1000 first place prize purse.
The UK’s top surfers will all be on show including last year's champions Alan Stokes and Keisha Eyre. There will be strong competition from renowned chargers Russell Winter, Tom Butler, Luis Eyre, Oli Adams and Jayce Robinson whilst Hannah Harding, Peony Knight and an array of elite female surfers will challenge for the title. Vital points will also be sought by the juniors as they battle for their ranking points to earn selection for The GB Junior Squad.
