In recent years Newquay has become established as the UK’s number one surf location, so it’s not surprising that so many of our visitors want to experience the thrills and spills of riding the Atlantic breakers.

But where you get surf, you also get rip currents: these can be very strong and can cause problems for even the strongest swimmers.

Newquay’s highly trained and professional Lifeguard Service is there to help and advise you. Please take note of the zoning flags, be patient if the warning flags are flying and don’t surf in the wrong area!
