A listing on newquay.co.uk is a full listing of your business details including up to 8 images, around 400 words of text and a map showing your location.
The listing also shows contact details and will show appropriate facilities such as Parking, disabled access, Pet Friendly etc.
This is the main type of advert for businesses to show themselves to the visitor to the site in enough detail to attract their attention and to sell themselves to the visitor as a potential place to stay or attraction to visit.
To get a listing on line within hours just provide us with:

8 good quality images and about 400-500 words of text that best describes your business.

Banners and other advertising spaces.

Advertising spaces other than listings (see above) are broken down into different areas of the page that they sit in. There are four different types of advert.  Within each area on the page there are room for multiple adverts as will be explained below.
Advertising is kept as complementary and such that these adverts cannot clash with the nature of the business on any listings page.  For example – if a hotel listing page (this is accommodation being offered) is displayed -  no other accommodation adverts are allowed to be displayed on that page – only adverts that will complement it such as attractions, restaurants, surf lessons etc.  So that the adverts complement each other and allow for the visitor to that page to get an overall picture.  So they not only see where they might stay – but also what they could do in Newquay whilst they were staying  there, or conversely if they are looking at a page of information on an event in Newquay – they could see adverts inviting them to stay at a nearby hotel so that their visit enables them to enjoy the event with minimum travelling.

A different set of adverts is loaded for every single page on the site.

Banners (Shown Red on the screenshots)

Banners appear at both the foot and head of the page and share the same dimensions.  However when you place an advert you are placing it in either the header areas OR footer area and the prices reflect this variation.
The way that banner adverts work is that each of the two locations (header and footer) can have up to twelve adverts allocated to it for each and every page on the site. Of these twelve banners – one will be selected at random for displaying each time the page loads.  All adverts will be displayed evenly and fairly using our display tracking software.  When they have been loaded for that page they will remain in position (ie not be changed or faded) until the page is reloaded so they are on display for the full duration of that persons visit to that page.

Blocks (Shown Blue on the screenshots)

Slightly different in dimensions and with primary space on the pages, block adverts work slightly differently to the banners.  Each block advert space on the page (generally two spaces per page) has the ability to show three adverts within it’s space using a random load – rotating/fader sequence.
This means that for each block advert slot on the page  - there will be three adverts allocated to it.  Each time the page loads – these three adverts will be randomised so that they display in a different order each time, and then they will play through a looping fader sequence from one to the other, for as long as that page is loaded.
These adverts are an image only – no additional text.

Sponsored Links (Shown Green on the screenshots)

These are smaller simpler adverts. There are up to 6 on each page – and their individual  position in the list (top to bottom) is randomised on each page load.  They then hold this position until the page is reloaded again.  
These adverts can be a full image or a combination of image and text as shown in the sample between the two green image blocks on the sample images.

Advertorials (Shown Yellow on the screenshots)

These are blocks of information in the main content area of the site.
If for example – you had an event coming up in the town and you wanted to promote this in a very high key way for the month leading up to that event, you could place your advertorial on the home page of the events section (or even the site home page) so that it was listed there for all to see every time that page opens.  It gives you the ability to have  appx 56 words of introduction and an image to accompany it in the content area of the page – a prime location.
